Make sure your medicine cabinet is well-stocked this Jubilee weekend.
The four-day weekend is expected to be a busy time for the NHS as people celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. With a few simple steps, people can save time and avoid an unnecessary trip to A&E.
The NHS is encouraging people to collect repeat prescriptions and stock up on self-care essentials like painkillers, plasters, and indigestion remedies ahead of the bank holiday.
If you need medical help, some pharmacies will remain open to treat minor illnesses, such as diarrhoea, a runny nose, a cough, or a headache.

Dr Navin Kumta, Chair of NHS Kent and Medway Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), said:
“GP practices will be closed on Thursday, 2 and Friday, 3 June, so we're urging people who take regular medication to check they have enough to last.
“Please make sure your medicine cabinet is well stocked too – no one wants to spend the Jubilee driving around in search of the basics you thought were at the back of the cupboard.”
