A new dental practice is opening in Dartford next week, as part of NHS Kent and Medway’s work to improve patient access to NHS care.
A S Lupin and Associates, which runs a dental practice in Chatham, will be opening another practice in Dartford on Monday, 4 December. Phone lines are already open, and patients can call now to register on 01322 950 440 or by visiting the website www.kentishsmiles.co.uk.
Dr Madhavi Sadalkar, from A S Lupin and Associates, said: “We’re really pleased to be opening a new practice in Dartford and look forward to seeing our new patients soon. Please bear with us as we expect our phone lines to be busy.”
Sukh Singh, Director of Primary Care at NHS Kent and Medway, said: “Our focus is on improving patient access to routine NHS dental care where it is needed most. We are investing £3.7million over two years in increasing dental provision in eight areas, and will continue to assess future requirements.
“People should still come forward for the dental care they need but they may have to contact more than one practice as NHS capacity regularly changes.”
NHS Kent and Medway is investing in extra dental services covering Canterbury, Swale, Dartford, Dover, Maidstone, Medway, Tonbridge and Sevenoaks. The Canterbury, Dartford and Swale contracts are live with the remaining due over the coming months.
These new dental contracts cover a total of 120,800 units of dental activity.
Opening hours for the new practice:
Monday/Thursday/Friday - 8.30am to 5pm
Tuesday/Wednesday - 8.30am to 7pm
Saturday - 8am to 1pm
