New appointments have been made to NHS Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board.
Jonathan Wade – Chief Executive, Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust – has been appointed partner member for acute services.
Jonathan brings a wealth of knowledge of acute hospitals having worked at Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust for the past three years, first as chief operating officer before being appointed chief executive in August 2022. Prior to this, he was chief operating officer at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Kings’ Lynn.
Jonathan said: "As an acute hospital partner member, I hope to represent the acute sector of the integrated care system in a fair and transparent way. While making sure the acute sector perspective is heard in ICB discussions.
"I also recognise the need to transform services across Kent and Medway to make sure equity and fairness for all groups and I am is committed to achieving this."
Peter Harrison has been appointed ICB Board non-executive member and chair of the productivity and investment committee. This follows the resignation of Valerie Owen in November 2022, due to a change in personal circumstances.
Peter comes to the ICB with a wealth of experience in healthcare at chief executive, non-executive and chair level, from within the public and the private sector.
In addition to the ICB Board appointments, it has been agreed to establish an associate non-executive member role for the Productivity and Investment Committee.
This is a non-voting role within an assurance committee and holds no formal decision-making responsibilities.
Alex Yew, has been appointed as the ICB associate non-executive member of the Productivity and Investment Committee. Alex has experience in the international financial sector alongside working in social housing and private sector non-executive roles.
