Did you know we invested £4.75million to address health inequalities in Kent and Medway last year?
As well as this, we delivered vital health checks to more than 3,000 people, who hopped onboard our health and wellbeing bus during its tour of the county.
Our performance against the four-hour A&E standard was considerably better than the national average; with ambulance response times, South East Coast Ambulance Service performed the second best nationally.
In October 2022, we marked more than one million appointments being offered by general practice teams. Of these, more than 68 per cent were face-to-face or home visits.
There’s lots to be proud of in Kent and Medway, which is why we are inviting the people we serve to come along to find out how the NHS is working to improve health and care.
Our Annual General Meeting will be held at the Orida Hotel in Maidstone on Wednesday, 13 September.
The event, from 4 to 6.30pm, will showcase the performance of NHS Kent and Medway during the first nine months as an organisation.
Come and meet the team onboard our health and wellbeing bus and get a free health MOT, including a body mass index (BMI) and blood pressure check.

Paul Bentley, Chief Executive at NHS Kent and Medway, said: “In the past nine months we have started new and different conversations with partners about how we can do things better for our population. These conversations reflect our ambition to work as a system, rather than the previous transactional relationships which existed.
“Our vision is to be a leader in health, working with our partners, to make Kent and Medway a great place to live – where people lead longer, healthier and happier lives.
“The annual meeting allows us to reflect on our progress and look at our ambitions for the year ahead. It’s an important opportunity for us to open ourselves to the scrutiny of the people we serve.
“We are committed to the people of Kent and Medway and while we have not yet seen a full year of activity, there is much to report on and be proud of.”
