Information for former patients of DMC Healthcare GP practice, Sheppey

1 November 2021

As of today (Monday, 1 November), DMC Sheppey Healthcare GP Practice is now closed. More than 5,000 patients have taken the opportunity to exercise their choice of GP and have re-registered with other practices.

Anyone who has not re-registered will now be automatically allocated another local practice by NHS Kent and Medway Clinical Commissioning Group. This process can take up to two weeks.

If you are a patient who has not yet re-registered with another practice, you will shortly receive a letter advising which practice you have been allocated. Once you have been allocated, your records will be securely transferred to your new practice.

If you are not happy with the practice you have been allocated, there will be details in the letter you receive of how to register at another. Please do not try to re-register before you have received your letter.

GP services from 1 November

If you have not re-registered and are being allocated a practice and you need general practice services between 1 November and the date you receive your letter, you can access the walk-in GP service at Sheppey Community Hospital. This is open from 9am to 9pm, seven-days-a-week. Minster Medical Group will run the GP walk-in service from 1 November.

Repeat prescriptions

If you have not re-registered and you need medication while you are being allocated a practice, please call 111 to be referred to Community Pharmacy for the Community Pharmacy Consultation Service (CPCS).
