Updated 13 Sept 2021
DMC Healthcare GP Practice in Sheppey will close on 31 October 2021. All patients registered on the practice’s list have been written to with information on how to re-register with another practice in the area.
The DMC practice boundary covers all of the Isle of Sheppey and part of Iwade and Kemsley area. There are five other GP practices on the island taking patient from DMC Sheppey. Three practices in the Iwade/Sittingbourne area are registering patients from DMC Sheppey who do not live on the island.
Patients are being asked to review the options for other practices and choose which they would like to register with. If patients haven’t re-registered by 31 October, the CCG will assign them a new practice and write to them to confirm their new GP.
DMC Sheppey will remain open as normal until 31 October 2021. They will provide care for patients until re-registration with another practice is completed.

All of your records and patient information will be securely transferred to your new GP practice.
When can I start using my new GP practice?
You will be registered within seven days of the practice receiving your registration form.
What happens if I don’t register with a new GP?
If for any reason patients do not re-register at a practice of their choise before 31 October the Clinical Commissioning Group will asign people a new practice (provided people have had some contact with DMC Sheppey practice in the last 5 years)
