Almost 1million appointments were by offered by general practices in Kent and Medway during the first month of the year.
More than 998,000 appointments were offered to patients across the county in January, with 66 per cent taking place in-person.
This is 53,000 more appointments offered than last January and 190,000 more appointments than in January 2022.
The data, released by NHS England, also shows more than 41,000 people did not attend their appointments.
Most people who are unable to attend their appointment cancel them to allow other people in need to use them. We would urge anyone who can no longer attend any appointment to please let their practice know.
