General practices offered more than 855,000 appointments to patients across Kent and Medway in June 2024.
Around 64 per cent of these appointments were face-to-face or home visits.
That means that GP practices offered over 5.5million appointments in the first six months of 2024. That is around 200,000 more appointments than were offered in the same period last year.
The data, released by NHS England, also shows around 37,000 people did not attend their appointments.
Most people who are unable to attend their appointment cancel them to allow other people in need to use them.
We would urge anyone who can no longer attend any appointment to please let their practice know.
